AS Level is the first year of study, taken in Year 12. It can be taken as a standalone qualification or as the foundation for a full A Level. A Level (A2) is the full two-year qualification, taken at the end of Year 13, and is what university offers are based on. Uplift Academy supports students from AS through to A2 finals.
Yes. Every student is assigned one dedicated A Level tutor at the start of the engagement. That tutor stays with your child through to their final exam. We never rotate tutors for operational reasons. The only time a tutor changes is at a parent's request. That is the promise, and we keep it.
Most competitive UK universities require AAA or above for their top courses. Oxford and Cambridge typically ask for A*AA or A*A*A. Medicine requires AAA with specific science grades. A* requires 90% UMS overall and 90% in the A2 units specifically. Uplift Academy begins A Level preparation at Grade 6. For students in Years 7 to 10, we build the subject foundations that make A Level content manageable when it arrives. For Year 12 students, we recommend starting at the beginning of the year. We also support Year 13 students with intensive revision before final exams.
