  • Which age groups and years is it for?

GCSE is specifically outlined for ages between 14-16 for pupils in school years 10 and 11.

  • Which subjects are offered?

There are 3 core subjects:

GCSE evaluation ranges from grade 9 – 1 with 9 being the highest score which is an equivalent to an A* and 1 being the lowest which is an equivalent to a G score.
Teachers might use the students’ performance in things like coursework, mock exams and class tests to decide on the final grades with assessment now concentrated at the end of the course.

  • Key features and highlights of the curriculum

An important part of GCSE schooling is that it gives students a choice over the subjects that they study which is an important factor to take into consideration.
The subjects chosen by students give them an opportunity to have a broad and balanced platform to maximise their career options while also helping them achieve the best possible results.
With Math, Science and English being the core subjects, the general knowledge, fundamental writing, numerical skills and scientific aptitude are tested.
